We (5 People) work for IBM company, SFO, today we went personally to the congress men and we submit the letter which is provided in this forum and after that we called state senator office and we explained about our problem. We faxed and email the letter to the senator office, staff had taken my contact details and they told me that they will inform the solution in 2days.

It is not even considered yet and I don't think it will ever be considered. That amendment includes not only schedule A but also others and with proposal to increase the number as well.

When you get the letter ready we'll send it again. It doesn't hurt to send them the letters 100 times.
I believe in 1 thing.... Is the media(in this case letter) imparting the message ? If the answer is 'Yes', we are done!!!!
Trust me my friend, spellings commas and fullstops doesn't matter...If you need to send out a message send it ASAP...

All I was saying that we need a professional letter that will have better impact. Once we have the letter ready, I will be the first one to send it out.

My wife's DL expired in June 2007. We got her extension in April 2007 for next 3 years. FYI: It took only 40 days to get the approval. Applied in PP.
We noticed the incorrect DOB in her approval notice. Attorney contacted CIS about this. We got a letter from CIS asking us to wait for 30 days to review her case. It is 90+ days since we reported CIS's typographical error. They took 40 days to approve the extension but they are taking more than 90 days to correct the DOB and issue a copy. Congrats CIS!.
Because of CIS's typographical error, we are facing hell of problems. She couldn't renew her DL. We went to DL office. We were asked to file a complaint. That takes ANOTHER 10 to 12 months to get the feedback from DL office.
I don't know what to do other than just WAIT!.

It is really tricky to come up with a deadline for EB employment. US is set of laws and the law is same for every one it applies. for example:If you not from a retrogressed country you will get your GC even if you start now (before enactment of this bill).
Please know the difference between bill and law. If ever this particular bill becomes law the deadline for any cases filed under previous law will not be rejected, this is as clear as mud, to make the law same for all who applied/pending /approved on the day of enactment!!.:eek:

I understand but i already sent our media drive to 50 different media , i aleady sent multiple faxes , i already sent many many emails but please advise me what more should i do to convince IV core that issues i have mentioned also effect many who are already IV members , i am requesting you to see Text of Webfax is added acoordingly ?

I took out a loan from HDFC last year in India. Their service was decent and their rates were also low. No prepayment penalty after 1 year. You can check your balances online and they now offer electronic payments also. ICICI has higher rates, so I wouldn't recommend. SBI requires lot of paperwork and processing time, so you should weigh this in before approaching them.

My app was received at the NSC on June 28th at 9:02am. I havent receviced receipts or checks cashed. If for some reason my app is denied or there is a request for evidence after the 17th of Aug are we able to resubmit or will it be too late?

I hired a CPA to register a LLC, but he insisted to open S-Corp. I was not confident so I told him to holdoff. Opening S-Copr doesn't seem to be right on EAD, however, I am still going thru posts tof igure right answer.

I think these guys are just playing with our minds. They know how many applications are pending. At least they have a estimate and idea.
Now they will sit on these pending applications until the end of year and then suddenly move dates 2-3 years ahead and approve some GCs. Few will be happy and most of us will be disappointed.

raysaikat, and others, can we call a truce and focus on the original intent of the thread? I am sure we can all agree that the top 5 % of the worst university (does not matter which, or where) are usually better than the bottom 5 % of the best university (again, does not matter).
In my life, in our company, I've seen some of the sharpest brains around (PhDs working for the Russian defence before they defected in late 70's and early 80's) and some of the dumbest (a mechanical engineer who refused to believe me when I mentioned the sun was approximately 300000 bigger than the earth in terms of mass and 1000000 times bigger in terms of volume). Believe it or not, I've met a taxi driver who graduated from an Ivy League institution and used to work at NASA in 60s and 70s and worked on developing algorithms for decompressing transmissions. There are all sorts who make the world a pretty interesting, if unpredictable place. :)
You never know whom you are sitting next to on the plane! ;)
Rather than arguing over silly matters, perhaps we should focus on intelligent analysis and if necessary, rebuttal of arguments.
We do not prove anything by arguing over IIT vs Osmania, or North Vs South, but merely conform the worst aspects of Prof. Wadhwa's sweeping generalizations.
I, for one, have serious questions:
A) The video was edited. It is a collection of sound bites. How do we know the context of the statements if we do not have the full transcript?
B) We have no visuals of the charts and figures referred to by Prof Wadhwa.
C) We have no access to the raw data used by Prof. Wadhwa. He may had published it, but I have not seen any of it. (Unless Macaca can ferret out the details.. if anyone can, he is the man!). I have, for instance, basic questions whether immigrants and foreign students were excluded when he (Wadhwa) was counting the openings filled and engineers graduated in US.
I do not mean to offend anyone, nor am I commenting on any country, university, or anything.. so please do not misunderstand me. Let us focus on the what is more important.

Actually it was lost by only 2 votes. Only 95 Senators voted and hence 57 votes would have been enough to carry it through. Really Sad. :(
