Sorry, that revelation just made my head explode. The "You Lie!" Congressman claims to have been an immigration lawyer before going to Congress. I'm working on whether that is true or has the same truthiness as the illegal aliens in the health care bill myth.

My I 140 was filed recently online. I noticed that we missed out Part 4.2 where it ask for Permanent address abroad. Does anyone know if this will be an issue?

Here's my take on the new Visa Bulletin First, bad news for Dominicans. Separate cutoffs have now been established for the Family First and 2B preference categories which are now earlier than the worldwide dates. Family First is 01 JUN 2004 and 2B is 01 JAN 2002. Also, Indian numbers are pretty bad again with most categories stalled. Mexico is the only bright spot with some strong improvements in the employment categories. Family 1st- no improvement for most countries; three week advance for Mexico. Family 2A - world numbers jump from June 2010 to August 2010; Mexico stalled at March...

I had L1A from 10/2005 to 10/2008. My lawyer filed I-485 in 2008, but he did not file extension of L1A. My L1A is expired in 2008. In Jan. 2010, my I-485 was denied. We filed appeal in Feb.. Then, we filed L1A extension, which is denied in June 2010. I do not know what to do? I have been in here for five years. now my wife and child's L2 also expired. Can I file another L1A without leaving USA (I was told no, because I did not meet 1/3 requirement, one year abroad within three years of admission into the USA. I have to go back Jamaca for one year and refile there, but I would give up my I-485). Thanks.

Mr. Obama might want to consider transferring the authority of setting quotas from Congress to the Labor Department
May be good or bad, depending on how you look at it....we will then be at the mercy of PERM...
If the Labor Department determines that a foreign worker would not displace Americans, that worker should not be barred from entering the country due to an arbitrary quota
This should definitely be high on the agenda.....although its very doubtful if this can ever be implemented.

Hi Friends,
As the Visa Dates are current, I want to file my 485 on July1st. Can I file the 485 for my wife and son at a later date(because they are travelling to india on june 16th and will be back on September 1st) or Is it a must that all of three(myself,wife,son) should file for 485 at the same time.
Can I add their names to my 485 later.?
Currently My wife and son(6years old) are on h4.
Please advice,

Employer A - LC applied in Dec 07, Currently on 7th year extension till Jan 2010. Stamped visa.
Employer B wishes to recruit me by transfer H1-B and utilize recapture time. The total time they would get is till Apr 2010 (which includes recpature time) along with 7th year I-797.
Employer B wishes to file LC 1 month after I join them.
Assuming that I join them by end of Dec 2008, I have the following questions about my H1-B extension
Lets consider Dec 30th as the date to start the LC application.
What I understand is that based on the LC from Employer B,
Can I get extension on my H1-B beyond APR 2010.

- I am currently on an H1B that is scheduled to expire on May 15th, 2007 as per the stamp on my passport.
- I have accepted employment with another organization based on my EAD (485+140).
- The catch is that I plan to re-enter the US on April 21st, 2007(Saturday) but technically my employment will cease with the employer who filed my H1B on April 20th (Friday).
- I have applied for my travel document (I131-based on 485) but it will probably not arrive before I leave the country.
Questions:
- Can I re-enter on my H1B, although technically my employment ceased a day earlier?
- When do H1B�s technically expire after termination of employment?

hey everyone I was trying to download the swift 3d because a pparently it sweems like a cool one but the download trial wasn't accuriable anyway I looged into the net store and checked the full program, it costs about 159$ so I guess I want to download the trial first to give it a try before spending that much amount of money so if any of you know where to donwlaod it just plz post me a message with the title"FOund what you wanted" on your subjectt space.=)
