Come on people only 11 shots to be fired. (I will take one shot, two already fired). The next person who will pull the trigger is probably a jovial person. He/she has contributed before or will contribute for the first time. He/she thinks we are a bunch of serious people, who will get the job done, but too serious for his/her company.
That is not the case at all. To prove it, here is a joke for you, to make you pull the trigger, amused and probably laughing.
Note: It is impossible to crack a joke and make everyone laughs. Invariably it is offensive to someone. I hope it is not the case here. Also, not everyone likes a particular joke; well the objective here is to make only one person laugh (enough to go to google and pull the trigger). An old lady takes the limp body of her rabbit to the vet. She pleads to the Dr �Please please take a look at my dear Pilu. He is not responding at all�. The Dr goes and checks the poor rabbit. �Sorry! But your Pilu is dead�. �No it can�t be the case, help me, help me, please do something�. The Dr says OK and blows a whistle. A cat come and gets on top of the table where Pilu�s body is lying�. She sniffs the body from top to bottom and shakes her head and leaves the room. The dr looks at the old lady and shakes his head too. Old lady protests and says the dr is not doing a good enough job. The Dr again whistles and in comes a Labrador Retriever. The dog also check Pilu and declares that the rabbit is dead. �How much� the lady asks the dr holding Pilu very close to her chest. �$250� the Dr replies.�WHAT $250 TO TELL ME THAT MY DEAR PILU IS NO MORE�. The dr replies back in a very calm tone �it would have cost you 50 when I told you, but you were not convinced and I had to run a lab report and do a cat scam. $100 each�

66K plus 60K still only makes 126K, do they still have another 20K or so? How does the math tally here?
I think this all boils down to them wanting to clear the 485 backlog without accepting any more 485s all while not wasting any visa numbers for this year.
In an effort to juggle all these issues, they screwed it all up.
Bottom line is they want to streamline the system such that they don't have "unapprovable" 485s in the system. They have caught on to the way the lawyers and us legal immigrants were filing 485s to get our foot in the door then sitting tight for eons. They simply don't want that. They either want you here on a visa or on a green card straightforwardly. Thats what I am getting from all this.
There are about 18K CP cases.

My DL expring in Sept. filed for 10th year extenison, I live in NY.
NY DL have 2 dates, One in Top with RED Bold letters its called Temp Visa Date and at botton DL exprie date. I have contacted in DMV office. They said I can drive using bottom Exprie date which is exprie in 2010(mine) ,But I cant use the DL as ID if Temp VISA expire on DL.Unless I renew it with approved H1B visa date.So I have to Carry Passport ,recepit copy and Employer lettter with all time just as proof if cop caught me.

This is the Indian mentality at work. My EB3 bro whose employer(company policy) did not allow him to file under EB2 even though he had over 7 years of experience and was making 70 bucks an hour when he filed, is not better than his EB2 bro just cos he is EB3.
That is it. Nail on the head. No, thats not all, look at the support, and these are Indian folks. I live in a small city with 150 Indian families (most of them doctors and other occupations) who have migrated to the US atleast 25 years back.
These people are just happy that we are here, that they now have a 150 family Indian community that they can call their own.
And here we are, all the skilled Eb2 guys, who are superior to the EB3 guys not wanting their EB3 non-immigrant men to ever get their Green Cards.
It is funny that rather than trying to correct the system, fight the inefficiences and amend the laws, someone is tryin to channelize their energies to fight against their own group. And more surprising is that there are a lot of supporters.

Here are some facts:
My I-140 was approved in April 2007 and I-485 was filed in August 2007. My H-1B expired on October 14, 2010 and my employer filed (using an attorney) for an extension last month. I have original H-1B filing receipt and copy for I-485 with me. I also had EAD which was scheduled to expire on October 15, 2010 and I filed myself for renewal of EAD and AP.
I lost my driving license with my wallet yesterday.
I checked NJ DMV website and in their 6 point ID verification they accept EAD and valid I-94 (which comes with H-1B approval, but I don't have either on me right now). Does anyone know what is the process in NJ. Do they accept filing receipts as valid document?
Without license I can't drive and go to work.
Any recent experience? I would really appreciate an answer.

Not necessarily. Here is a hypothetical scenario:
PersonA = PD of May 30th, 2003 and RD of June 15th, 2007.
Assume that an additional 150,000 I-485 applications were filed petween PersonA and PersonB
PersonB = PD of May 15, 2002 and RD of July 15th 2007.
USCIS starts pre-adjudicating cases based on Receipt date. Assume that by October 1, 2007, they have pre-adjudicated PersonA plus 9,000 of the 150,000 applications and haven't reached PersonB's application yet (they go by RD).
Assuming that the visa cutoff date in Oct, 2007 bulletin is June,2003 making both PersonA and personB current:
PersonA (PD of 2003) will get a visa number and get the case approved while PersonB (PD of 2002) with an older priority date will have to wait a while because his case hasn't been touched by USCIS yet due to the additional 150,000 filings in between that have to be pre-adjudicated first based on RD even if they have 2004/2005/2006/2007 priority dates!!

According to the State Department, from October 1, 2006 through May 30, 2007, the USCIS requested and was authorized the total EB visa numbers of 66,426. Between June 1 and the first few days of July (?), the USCIS requested and was authorized over 60,000 EB visa numbers, in approximately one month. Since it has been made clear by the USCIS that during the last weekend of June (2 days) the USCIS approved 25,000 EB 485 applications, apparently over 40,000 visa numbers were requested and authorized before the weekend. Obviously the 60,000 plus cases must thus have been approved (?) in one month

GC Life screwed me badly, couldn't file in EB2 2 times even though eligible because of a couple of idiots, only action item I can think for myself is re file in EB-2 which I am doing it very soon and have an appointment wirh Mr.Khanna tomorrow.

Villamonte - the laws are such that USCIS cannot screw up much for ROW, especially if they are not in EB3. I hope you are not gloating much about your luck. However, you cannot extrapolate your fortune to say that USCIS is an efficient organization.
However, the laws are such that USCIS does screw up a lot with EB2 & 3 for India and China. They have to play games of predicting visa number availability between two departments (DOS & USCIS). They completely screw up the FIFO for Indians and Chinese within Indian & Chinese applicants. Luckily the FBI namecheck nightmare is over which will restore some sanity. There are many people who have to wait for years due to USCIS inefficiency.
I know an Indian case where PD was current and USCIS screwed up. He had to sue USCIS to get it fixed.
D.E.D is such a numbskull retard that he doesn't understand these concepts. All he harps is that you cannot investigate USCIS and USCIS awards H1B. The greatness of American democracy is that even a foreigner can ask the courts to investigate the wrongs a govt organization has done to them. In fact most democracies around the world allow that.
Besides USCIS does not award the H1B. It just follows the laws set forth by the congress and processes the H1B applications based on those laws.
